Candle Care Tips

Get the Most Out of Your SugarHill Candle

A little candle care goes a long way. Follow these simple tips to help your SugarHill candle burn beautifully, evenly, and safely.

Trim Your Wick
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. This helps maintain a proper flame and can reduce soot and excessive flame height.

Let the First Burn Set the Tone
For the first burn, allow enough time for the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel. This helps establish an even burn pattern and can help prevent tunneling.

Keep Your Candle on a Safe Surface
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything that could catch fire.

Keep It Away From Little Hands & Paws
Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets.

Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended
If you're leaving the room, the candle gets extinguished. Period.

Keep It Away From Drafts
Avoid placing your candle near fans, air vents, open windows, or other moving air. Drafts can disturb the flame and contribute to uneven burning and soot.

Don't Burn for More Than Four Hours at a Time
For maximum fragrance and proper performance, do not burn your SugarHill candle for more than four hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.

Keep the Wax Pool Clean
Keep wick trimmings, matches, and other debris out of the melted wax.

Know When It's Time to Say Goodbye
Do not continue burning your candle once approximately ½ inch of wax remains in the bottom of the vessel.

Burn It Beautifully. Burn It Safely.

Your SugarHill candle was made to set the mood, fill the room, and make your space feel a little more like you.

Take care of your candle, and let it do what it does best.

Light it. Love it. Enjoy it.
